A contingent of the Ukrainian Armed Forces consisting of around 500 soldiers is trying to break through Russian defenses near Nekhoteyevka, in the Shebekino district of the Belgorod region. This is what the Telegram channel "Mash" reports, according to which "judging from the intercepted radio conversations, among the fighters there are foreign mercenaries from Poland, Georgia and the United States". According to information provided by the Telegram channel, "a battle is underway near Nekhoteyevka: the Ukrainian military, around 200 units, on board various combat vehicles, have arrived near the state border and tried to cross it: our men immediately targeted them with artillery, after which the battle began.”

At the same time, “about 300 soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces went to the Shebekino border crossing” where “fighting is now underway. The border guards reacted, then the helicopters arrived and bombed the enemy group,” continues Mash. As the Telegram channel reminds us, today exactly three weeks have passed since the Ukrainian incursion into the Kursk region. “In the Belgorod region, the militants used the same tactic,” reports “Mash”.

The governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov commented on the news on his Telegram channel: “Information has emerged that the enemy is trying to break through the border of the Belgorod region. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the situation on the border remains difficult but under control. Our military is carrying out routine operations,” Gladkov wrote. The governor asked citizens to remain calm and to trust only official sources of information. Previously, several Russian Telegram channels reported on the attempt by 500 soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to carry out an incursion into the Belgorod region, an operation similar to the one carried out three weeks ago in the Kursk region.
